The War Z is an open shooter zombie survival horror MMO developed by Hammerpoint Interactive. The game will feature both first person and third person shooting abilities, allowing the player to switch between the two.

The War Z also incorporates “safe settlements” where users can have their characters rest during the daytime. Users will be able to respawn, but will lose any items on their person after dying regardless of whether purchased in-game or not.

A reviewer for PC World stated that “overall, the game looks terrific” and had the “typical alpha bugs” of a beta release, with the game holding promise. A reviewer for Joystiq praised the character personalization, saying that there were more options than they expected and that the gameplay would be easy for experienced gamers to understand. Another reviewer for Joystiq commented that one of the game’s biggest dangers was from other users, with the game currently not having any rules or policing of the PvP element.
